How it works

From photo to chart in four steps.

Nothing to install, nothing to sign up for. The whole pipeline runs inside your browser tab.

1

Choose your source

Drop in a photo, or type a description for the AI to draw from. Photos are processed locally and never leave your device for direct conversion.

2

Optionally simplify with AI

If the background is busy or the photo is full of gradients, run an AI redraw (Nano Banana 2 or GPT Image 2) to flatten it into clean colour areas. This step uses a small number of credits.

3

Tune the chart

Set grid width, cap the number of colours, restrict the palette to floss you own, and drag the smoothing slider until confetti is gone. Every change re-renders instantly.

4

Export and stitch

Download a paged PDF symbol chart with colour key, floss codes, skein estimates and Aida sizing, plus a PNG preview. Print it, stitch it, sell it.

Which photos work best?

Great for direct conversion

  • Even, natural lighting
  • One clear subject
  • Plain or blurred background
  • Strong contrast between subject and setting

Use AI redraw first

  • Cluttered backgrounds
  • Sunsets, skies and soft gradients
  • Low-light or heavily shadowed shots
  • Very fine detail (fur, foliage, text)

Start with a photo. Finish with floss.
